In June 2021, the skilled lawyers at Petion Law successfully won a settlement of $250,000 for a non English-speaking client who, while shopping at a local flea market, was injured by a machine forklift cart being operated by an employee of the establishment. She was given no assistance at the scene and the establishment adamantly denied responsibility. Client waited 3 hours at scene until the police arrived and to add insult to injury, she was deemed liable for causing her own injuries in the police report. Through extensive investigation, our skilled and bilingual attorneys and case managers discovered and tracked down a witness who corroborated her claims and provided compelling testimony about the accident. The matter settled the following day for $250,000.00. They almost walked away from their responsibility because client was poor and unable to articulate the events in English.

Upon Further investigation, it was discovered that at fault party only carried a maximum of $20,000.00 of insurance which was paid immediately. The family’s insurance did not carry Uninsured/ Underinsured Motorist coverage. Petion Law and its team of lawyers and Case Managers, free of charge, recovered the full policy limits and successfully convinced all medical providers to waive their medical charges.

In June 2021, Mr. Fesner Petion was privileged to meet via consultation and represent a memorable elderly client who suffered abuse at the hands of scammers who took her life savings and promised hefty returns. Client was facing foreclosure and living on public assistance because the scammers refused to communicate with her. Client obviously needed the firm’s assistance and we immediately took on the case Free of Charge, filed lawsuit and served Defendant with multiple counts of Fraud.
